“HOPES is changing people’s life for the better. They changed my life for the better. Without HOPES I would be homeless and a drug addict. Instead I’m a very successful man, with a loving family.”
-Jason, MAT patient at HOPES.
HOPES is joining the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and other partners around the country in recognizing September as National Recovery Month. In 2020, 40.3 million people aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder.
The path to recovery may look different for many, but recovery is possible and help is available right here in northern Nevada through HOPES’ Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.
The MAT program at HOPES provides compassionate, team-based treatment to inspire hope and enhance quality of life through the process of recovery. Our MAT team is an interdisciplinary team of providers including medical doctors, therapists, licensed clinical social workers, peer recovery support specialist, a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse, medical assistants and a case manager.
HOPES currently has around 115 MAT patients. 74% of MAT patients receive services for Opiate Use Disorder while 26% receive service es for Alcohol Use Disorder.
MAT patients at HOPES access many of our other wrap-around services including our new Intensive Outpatient Program and Hope Springs our bridge housing community.
Our MAT program represents the gold standard in MAT treatment and we have had other programs, including Federally Qualified Health Centers, reach out to us for our expertise and guidance to improve their own programs.
