President Biden signed The Respect for Marriage Act into law.

HOPES opened 25 years ago with a foundational belief that all people have value and deserve access to the care they need and deserve. Care without barriers, without judgment, and most importantly a medical home where they are truly seen. For decades, members of the LGBTQ+ have played an integral role at HOPES as members of our staff, board and as patients. The Respect for Marriage Act creates both equality and protection for all same-sex and interracial couples.

While LGBTQ+ people continue to face uncertainty and harm, this legislation provides comfort and affirms all families. We can all join together as we move a step forward in our work for equality, equity and the assurance that all people are deserving of dignity.
