National Health Center Week 2024

On the first day of National Health Center Week,  we recognize the role of Public Health in Housing. One of the most critical foundations of health for our patients at Northern Nevada HOPES is stable, safe and affordable housing. Sharon Chamberlain, CEO, Julie Gwin, COO, and Julia Cross, Director of Hope Springs, explain why housing is a part of our model.

On the second day of National Health Center Week, the theme is Healthcare for People Experiencing Homelessness. Meet Paul, a resident at Hope Springs who is currently going through his own recovery journey and transition out of homelessness. He is one of our earliest patients. HOPES 🤝 Paul. 💜

On the third day of #NHCW2024 week, we had the pleasure of meeting with Valerie Gallo, the Regional Administrator at @HRSAgov, touring our new clinic on E. 4th St. and Hope Springs. Community Health Centers (CHC) have a vital role in improving the health of our community and reducing costs on the healthcare system by offering affordable and integrated care. @HRSA’s support for CHC’s is paramount to our ability to provide care and resources to our most vulnerable neighbors. Thank you, Valerie, for visiting us and learning more about our healthcare model.

On the fourth day of National Health Center Week, we celebrated you, our patients, as the heartbeat of Northern Nevada HOPES. 💜

On day five of National Health Center Week, we thanked our stakeholders! Across the nation, nearly 1,500 Community Health Centers (CHCs) provide integrated preventive and primary care services to 31.5 million people. Here in northern Nevada and the Sierra, supporters of HOPES have directly contributed to the health and wellness of over 15,000 patients.

On the sixth day, we took the time to appreciate the caretakers who make it all happen, our staff! HOPES has an annual Staff Summit every year to provide training, updates and comradery for this amazing team. Thank you for all you do for our community, HOPES Fam!

On the final day of #NCW24, we celebrated taking care of the future by providing medical care, mental health care and wrap around services for children from birth to 18 years of age.
