Support Hope Springs
Bridging the gap – offering our unhoused community HOPE
At Northern Nevada HOPES (HOPES), we believe the most effective health care is both comprehensive and compassionate, and that approach means we don’t stop at disease management, preventative care, or even behavioral health services. We understand that housing is healthcare.
Washoe County has consistently high rates of poverty, homelessness, and untreated mental illness when compared to national averages. As the first tiny home bridge housing project in northern Nevada, Hope Springs is helping our unhoused community members find the shelter and resources they need to rebuild their lives. Located near downtown Reno at 1920 E 4th St., Hope Springs fills a hole in the northern Nevada housing continuum, providing safe, dignified housing for the most disenfranchised members of our community.
A holistic approach to addressing homelessness
Hope Springs is a six-month program offering residents wrap-around services and community resources. Our single-occupancy tiny home community is a safe place to build a stable foundation for long-term overall health and wellbeing. The Hope Springs program is an essential stepping stone on the journey back to permanent housing.
Hope Springs falls into the category of harm reduction programs. We empower individuals to reduce harm to themselves by setting realistic goals and validating positive steps and incremental change. While harm reduction is often associated with drug use, it now has a wider range of applications including sex, diet, health, and many other aspects of self-care.
